This is a full time, non-exempt position responsible for administering preventive dental care in a community health center - clinical environment. The duties and responsibilities of this position include diagnosing, treating and providing preventative and restorative dental care. The Dentist will work with patients of all ages, is proficient in performing regular checkups, complex dental procedures, and is committed to the highest quality of patient care. This position reports to the Dental Director.

Job Duties:
- Requires a comprehensive knowledge of oral hygiene care in outpatient settings including diagnostic, consultation/referral, emergency preventive restorative (operative) endodontic, prosthetic to include fixed and removal, periodontics, orthodontic (limited) and oral surgery services.
- Knowledge of the principles and practice of modern oral hygiene and periodontal patient care is necessary.
- Centricity preferred.
- Familiarity with standard dental equipment and technology.
- Attention to detail and a dedication to accuracy.
- Must be able to function with discretion and confidentiality always keeping in mind HIPAA requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Flexibility with managing multiple projects and caseloads simultaneously and respond quickly when priorities change.
- Graduation from an accredited dental school.
- Unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the State of Illinois.
- Current CPR (BLS) certifications. ACLS preferred.
- Illinois DPS and DEA registrations.
- Medicare and Medicaid provider numbers.
- Completion of an accredited general practice residency program is preferred.
- Minimum of five years clinical experience required.
- Bilingual, clinically fluent in Spanish preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills required.
