Veterans Services Engagement & Resource Specialist-HRDI


This role will work with Project Director and Evaluator to ensure compliance with Certified Community Behavioral Health Center (CCBHC) Criteria 4.K: Intensive, Community-Based Mental Health Care for Members of the Armed Forces and Veterans, including all of its subsections in its entirety

 
  • Champions the provision of veterans’ services within the CCHBC program.
  • Oversees in-reach, outreach, and engagement of veterans for enrollment in CCBHC.
  • Develops CCBHC partnership, formal contracts and care coordination expectations with Department of Veterans Affairs medical centers, independent outpatient clinics, drop-in centers, and other facilities of the Department.
  • Ensures with PD that care provided to veterans is consistent with minimum clinical mental health guidelines promulgated by the Veterans Health Administration (VHA), including clinical guidelines contained in the Uniform Mental Health Services Handbook of such Administration.
  • Ensures agency wide cultural competency training addresses information related to military culture.
  • Ensures there is integration or coordination between the care of substance use disorders and other mental health conditions for those veterans who experience both and for integration or coordination between care for behavioral health conditions and other components of health care for all veterans.
  • Ensures every veteran seen for behavioral health services is assigned a Principal Behavioral Health Provider.
Qualifications are both professional and technical and include:
  • Organizational skills
  • Able to efficiently work independently.
  • Effective responses to situations; and analyses of information following established methods.
  • Possess high level of written and verbal communications skills
  • Specific knowledge of Behavioral Health program policies related to integration requirements
  • Possess high level skills of effective communication; verbal and written
  • Experienced in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • Able to perform efficiently in several Electronic Health Records platforms
Hiring Range starts at $45K
